The Orfalea Family Foundation is a non-profit philanthropic organization based in Santa Barbara, California. The foundation supports high quality, preventative and experiential community programs that directly impact children, youth and underprivileged families.
The Orfalea Family Foundation brought in Mosaic to help streamline its grant application process and use Mosaic’s online grant application system. The foundation wanted to save money on administration of the grant application process as well as collect data on which applications were successful to help grant applicants better meet the foundation’s funding criteria.
Mosaic’s solution allows the foundation to collect applications securely through its website, www.orfaleafamilyfoundation.org. The applications are filtered into a database, completely eliminating the need for data entry. Grantee periodic reports are also done online through the site. The system even includes a reporting tool so the foundation staff can review reports at different points in the grant cycle.
